Alberto Rodríguez Vázquez

About me

I am a differential geometer working at the Geometry Section of the Départment de Mathématique under the mentorship of Prof. Fine at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

Currently, I hold a Marie Skłodowska Curie European Postdoctoral Fellowship with acronym HOLYFLOW.

My Ph.D. thesis, which was supervised by
Prof. Díaz-Ramos and Prof. Domínguez-Vázquez
at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, revolves
around the study of symmetry in submanifolds.

My research is focused on Riemannian geometry, and more particularly in: homogeneous spaces, submanifold geometry, isometric actions and positive curvature.

In July 2024, I received the prize Vicent Caselles 2024 from
the Real Sociedad Matemática Española.
