Resumo:
I will explain the main steps in the proof of the theorem that states that a polar action on a simply connected, compact, positively curved manifold of cohomogeneity at least two is conjugate under a diffeomorphism to a polar action on a compact rank one symmetric space with a standard metric. The theorem is from a joint work with Fuquan Fang (Peking) and Karsten Grove (Notre Dame, Indiana).
