Cathedral's decks
On Thursday 13th at 18:30 there will be a visit (free for all registered participants) to the decks and Carraca's tower of Santiago's Cathedral. You can download from here (9.4Mb) a brochure with a guide to this and other tourist spots in Santiago.
The visit will take place even with poor weather conditions. Please bring suitable clothes and footwear in case of rain. The tower's height is equivalent to 8 floors, although it will be climbed gradually.
Hiking route
Weather permitting, we will organize a hiking route on Friday 14th afternoon along the Sarela river and up to the mount Pedroso, of around 12 kilometers length and 400 meters of cummulative elevation gain.
If you want to join, please bring suitable footwear and take into account the possibility of slipery and wet terrain.
Social dinner
The social dinner of the conference will take place at Restaurante San Clemente on Saturday 15th at 21:00. It will be free for all registered participants.
Important: please confirm your attendance and choose main course (meat/fish). Let us know if you have allergies or special requirements.
Internet connection
You can connect via eduroam, if your affiliation supports it and you have your devices correctly configured.
Restaurants
There are several options to have lunch near the conference venue:
- Some restaurants near the campus, such as Santos, Xugo, Xantar or Altamira, offer lunch menus for around 10-12 euros.
- Downtown and in the historic center there are many kinds of restaurants. Vegan and vegetarian options can be found, for example, at Boca a boca, Malak Bistro, or The Veggie Carmen. Many restaurants offer typical Galician food, such as O Dezaseis or María Castaña.
- The cafeteria-canteens of the Department of Mathematics (same building as the conference), of the Escola Técnica Superior de Enxeñaría - ETSE (200m), or the cafeterias Fonseca and Rodríguez-Cadarso (500m) offer menus for 6 euros. Because of students' schedule, it is recommended to have lunch before 13:30. Some of them are closed during the weekend.
